What a strange title that is, “Author’s Forward.” It could mean the author is forward, which, of course, is not true, unless of course you mean by that “the author is forward thinking” or “forward looking.” Then I might agree. If instead you mean “the author is rude and insensitive to social conventions” then I might take exception to the remark. It may be true, but I take exception all the same.
Enough of that! What is Coward’s Crossing? Why this blog? This blog is all about exorcism. I’ve had a demon bothering me for a number of years and I need to be free of it. The demon is my first and only book, Coward’s Crossing. It is all but finished, poorly written and never published. Everytime I attempt to begin to write, Coward’s Crossing rears it’s unfinished head and I slam right into it. I can’t move forward, it appears, until I put this thing to rest. Thus this blog.
Here you will be able to read Coward’s Crossing serially. I guess that makes me a serial killer. I want to kill this thing so it will not disturb me anymore, so bit by bit, I am going to publish it here. I will polish it, improve it and complete it. If it is fated to never be bound between two covers, so be it. At least it will be done and I will be able to move on.
If you must read it, I hope you find pleasure in it. You don’t really have to do it, though it’s very kind of you to want to. This is really about me and this little demon. Everyone else are just spectators.
